Furry Monster

I have an irresistibly furry belly, irresistible because you'll feel compelled to rub it when it's exposed. I’m furrier than a beanie baby! I tell you what, I'll let you give me a belly rub if you take me home.

Live!

Can you shout continually with a live, wriggling lizard in your mouth? I can!

I caught a live one for Megan and had to get her to open the door for me quick! It slipped out of my mouth several times while I was calling but I picked it up again and again, and delivered it fresh!

It is not as big as the one I caught a few weeks ago. That was the biggest one I have ever seen! It was the size of a full-grown, garden-variety chameleon.

Still, I am pretty pleased.

Scaredy-Cat Part II

I've been on my toes all day! I heard the same soft sounds from multiple directions and immediately ran for cover. They grew louder and louder, and when the day was at its hottest, they were very, very close.

I've seen the dangerous sticks that make those sounds before. Strange-looking humans carry the long, metal sticks, and swing them to and fro over the ground. The sticks slice everything in their paths!

After the sounds stopped, I waited for several hours before I came out from hiding. I couldn't be sure they had left and had to stay out of sight for as long as possible.

Archnemesis

This big, white meanie fights me whenever the opportunity arises. He spies me from afar, dashes over and attacks me for sport.

He was neutered a few months ago. Before that, he fathered several litters. However, his wife is rather inept at parenting. She hides her kittens in drains and they get washed away when it rains heavily. To my knowledge, he has only 1 surviving son.

Cat for Hire Part II

For a few hours this afternoon, I was asked to supervise a few painters working on the apartment block opposite Megan's office. I take my job very seriously.

House Wolf Snake

A house wolf snake crawled into Megan's office. Her husband showed it to me just to tempt me into wanting it. It looks so incredibly tasty. It's a great, live snack. I mean snack. I mean snake.

My Frocs

Before you continue, I'll like to clarify that I do NOT destroy shoes. Megan's husband gave me a pair of Frocs footwear so it's mine to do whatever I want with it. I really, really like playing with them; I scratch them, pounce on them, hug them, sit on them and sleep on them. I did say I'll show you some of my other stuff so there you go!

Regal Tabby

I'm a regal tabby. I have a lush and fluffy white bib which humans say make me very cute in spite of myself.

My Plate

That's my plate! I like that it's shallow so my whiskers don't touch the sides when I'm eating from it. It's one of the few things I own. I'll show you the others another time.

Genteel Tabby

I'm a very genteel tabby. After every meal, I'll first make sure there's no food stuck to my gums and teeth. Then I'll clean my mouth with my paws. I can't say the same for humans though.

Box

I found a clean, dry, shallow box to sleep in tonight! Score! It is a little small but that was solved easily by paddling one side out with my feet.

Cat for Hire

I will work part-time in security in exchange for food. I charge a can of wet food in exchange for a 10-minute lookout. You have to watch out for my signal. When someone or something threatens your safety, I'll tell you where they're coming from by sprinting away in the opposite direction.

Scaredy-Cat

Psst! I'm going to tell you a secret but you must promise not to tell it to anyone else! I'm scared of thunder. Here comes the embarassing part. I had an accident the other night. There was a thunderstorm and I wet myself. You may not be able to tell but I was trembling and feeling wary. I wish there was someone to comfort me and keep me warm in bad weather.

I Hate Corn

We are carnivorous! I have difficulty digesting any kind of plant matter (e.g. vegetables). I try to spit out all of the corn kernels in each mouthful of wet food. Too bad Megan cannot speak cat or I'll ask her why zookeepers don't feed their big cats carrots to improve their eyesight.

Ratbert

Megan's husband changed his mind about letting her show you, albeit partially censored, the rat I caught for her. Male humans are so fickle.

Where's Tabby?

Have you found me yet? I'm definitely in there; Keep looking!

It is time for dinner but I have no appetite. I've been feeling a bit under the weather with my injuries from the fight a few days ago. I'm going back to nap. Toodle-oo!

Cat Fight

I got into a fight yesterday with a tomcat at the public carpark. The tomcat and I have a history of violent brawls. I'm not an aggressive kitty and, besides the tomcat, I get along with most of the other cats in the area. You can see a long scratch he gave me on my face. I'm also limping as he bit my leg. There are bare patches of skin and puncture wounds where he bit me on my leg and back.

I ignored Megan most of yesterday because I was injured. When I went to her office for dinner, she took me to a wash area and rinsed the tomcat's spit off. She didn't have kitty shampoo so I still have the grime and oil from the carpark over parts of my fur (check out my front paws).

I really hope someone will adopt me soon so I don't have to live in constant fear of mean cats, naughty children that chase me and loud sounds.

Staying Up Late

Tonight, Megan is working late. One of the lights from her office is switched on. I widened my eyes, tilted my head, put on my pretend distressed expression and called out piteously (works 90% of the time) until she unlocked the door for me.

Each time I looked up at the table, she hissed at me. I had to wait until she stopped eyeballing me. Then I jumped onto the table, lay on her papers and stretched my chin out to ask for a rub!

That's me above making a point. I don't understand her fascination with papers but I'll lie on top of them if that's what gets me rubs.

Rat Attacked!

I met Megan, a human, about 7 months ago. She feeds me thrice daily. I just have to go to her office, which is a few doors down from Joan's, and call loudly. I try to repay the favor whenever I can. I've given Megan a few lizards, a sparrow and a grasshopper. I don't think she ate any of them so I'm still trying to figure out what she likes.

Yesterday, I caught her a giant rat! I placed it at her doorstep so she wouldn't miss it. She would've liked to show it to you but her husband said that it was bad taste.

I had guarded the fresh rat all night until Megan saw it at noon. You can see me above keeping an eye on the rat. When she was done appreciating it, she didn't take it with her as I had hoped. She didn't even smell or taste it! She just left it where I left it. I couldn't wait around forever so I left.

About Me

I am a 3-year-old, female tabby looking for a new home!

When I was a wee kitten, a student saw my 2 siblings and me, and decided to bring us home. However, she tired of us and left us on the ground floor of her apartment building.

It has been very tough since. Both my siblings have disappeared. I walked a short distance and am now living on the ground floor of another apartment building.

I am hoping to find a new home. One where I will always be loved and safe, and have fresh food, clean water, and shelter.
